Spring is supposedly just around the corner. Don't believe it? Me either. But I'm slowly incorporating spring pastels into every outfit in hopes of coaxing the sun to come out and stay for a while.

Mint was my color of choice today -- on my nails and on this awesome little necklace that Lorraine Tyne sent me. And the best part? You can win one of your own!

The giveaway ends next Thursday, April 4 at 7pm EST. I will announce the winner next Friday. *Good for residents of US and Canada only*

At Home with Warby Parker

"Crosby" in Revolver Black

I've been putting off getting my eyes checked out for a while now. I think I'm in denial about this whole "aging" thing. So when I received an email from Warby Parker, I figured it was a sign from the eyesight Gods telling me it's time.

I've always loved how glasses looked on everyone else but never quite thought I could pull them off. I have no idea what shape looks good on me and I'm completely indecisive about whether to go with black or colored frames. Too many choices! Luckily Warby Parker as a "Home Try On" program where you can choose 5 pairs from their extensive collection to try out over the course of 5 days. They even pay for the shipping to and from your house. And they arrived in 2 days!

How did someone as indecisive as me narrow it down to 5 pairs, you ask? I utilized their "Virtual Try On" function as well. Simply upload a picture of yourself and voila, try on as many pairs as you'd like.

The best part? You can try on eyeglasses AND sunglasses. I wore them to work, brunch, and everywhere in between.

"Marshall" in Rum Cherry

"Tenley" Cat Eye in Midnight Blue

"Downing" Walnut Tortoise

"Appleton" Brushed Gold (MY FAVE!!)
Which are your favorite? I'd love to hear your opinions! I'm still having a tough time deciding on the eyeglasses but I fell in love with the Appleton aviators. Now if only the sun would shine long enough to enjoy them!

City Living: MiniLuxe Wellesley

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

MiniLuxe Wellesley is located at 96 Central Street

I have a confession to make. Up until recently, my skincare routine involved removing my makeup before bed and (occasionally...okay maybe more like once in a blue moon) slathering on some nighttime cream. I've been lucky that I've never had any real problems with acne and for being a late 20-something female who was a lifeguard for many years, I tend to get that I look young for my age. Next confession: before this past Saturday, I was a facial virgin. I never realized what I was missing and how beneficial they are.

The lovely folks at MiniLuxe invited me into their Wellesley location to experience their Flash Trio mini facial. Not only was it relaxing and rejuvenating, but I left with a glowing face that was dewy and softer than I'd ever felt it before. Just what the doctor ordered to cure my pasty winter skin. Donna, my esthetician, was friendly and knowledgeable. She explained every step in detail and even recommended some great skincare products for me to take home.

What's your skincare routine? Do you swear by facials?

**I received complimentary services for this post. All opinions are 100% my own.**

Dot Dot Dot

Pajama Blouse: J.Crew (ON SALE); Skirt: J.Crew; Jacket: J.Crew Factory; Tights: Express (old); Boots: Victoria's Secret (old); Bag: Vintage Chanel; Rings: Stella & Dot

Happy Monday my loves! Are you growing tired of my black & white outfits yet? I vow to incorporate more color into my wardrobe as soon as the weather perks up a bit. I've picked up a few spring/summer pieces in bright colors and can't WAIT to wear them. On a totally random note, I'm also tired of my hair. I'm thinking of chopping a few inches off... thoughts?

Blue Suede Shoes

Thursday, March 14, 2013

Top: Topshop; Faux Leather Pants: H&M; Hat: Urban Outfitters; Heels: Zara; Bag: Michael Kors; Spike Necklace & Ring: Topshop

Here I go again -- sporting my favorite color combo (last seen HERE & HERE). Basic separates like a great white tee and leather leggings are perfect for showing off my new blue suede shoes... that, by the way, I scored recently at Zara for $40! I was totally pushing it by going bare-armed for these photos but I'm just SO sick of winter layers, it's not even funny. Anyone else with me? Oh, and the floppy hat? Definitely not masking a bad hair day. I swear. ;)

Weekday Grunge

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

Cargo Jacket: F21 (old); Sweater: J.Crew Tippi; Boyfriend Jeans: Gap; Booties: Steve Madden; Watch: Michael Kors; Clutch: Louis Vuitton

Oh hey guys! Sorry for being MIA lately. Between a crazy day job, traveling on the weekends, and wacky weather that can't decide what it wants to do, it's become near impossible to find time to snap pics. The good news is my schedule is calming down and the forecast is looking up so there should be plenty of outfit posts to look forward to from here on out.

Yesterday I was feeling a bit frazzled, if you couldn't tell by my outfit. But the end result was exactly what I was going for -- a little bit grungy, a little bit girly. Luckily I work in a very creative workplace that allows us to wear basically whatever we please. Add a dramatic lip and some frilly details and you're left with an outfit that's perfect for running errands or running around Rue La La.
