The Big Reveal

Thursday, January 23, 2014

So there's no actual big reveal. But I did complete my cleanse last weekend and am feeling great. If you followed along on Twitter, you know I tried a variation of the Sacred Heart diet for six days (the BF and I opted to enjoy football on Sunday and eat whatever we wanted instead of the "Miracle Soup"). This cleanse was more to prove to myself that I do in fact have SOME willpower (woohoo!) I lost a total of six pounds but the biggest improvement has been my change in attitude towards crappy food. Okay so I'd be lying if I said I am miraculously cured of my chocolate cravings but I haven't tried to order pizza since completing the diet and that's a HUGE accomplishment for me. We are continuing to incorporate more fruits, veggies and lean protein into our diet and we are working sessions at the gym back into our schedules as well. I have always been blessed with a high metabolism and I was an athlete throughout my high school and college years so this whole late-20s body changing/metabolism going down the drain thing is BS. But, such is life, right? I plan to welcome my 30th birthday in August looking and feeling my best yet!

Back to regular posting next week... Thanks for sticking with me and cheering me on during my cleanse!

xoxo,
L

  1. That's awesome that you did a 6 day cleanse. I would not have. I wrote a little about this today too - how this late 20's thing is really killing me. I'm the same way - athlete all through high school, good genes and fast metabolism (thanks, Mom!), but lately things just are not the way they used to be! You're definitely on the right track with better food and regular exercise, so keep it up!
